VBS is on its way!

Friends,

In just a week and a half our church will be transformed into a Beach Side Surf Shack as we invite the children of our community to Catch the Wave of God's love at Vacation Bible School July 10th-14th. Vacation Bible School is one of the most exciting weeks of the church year. For five nights we get to create a world of fun and adventure where kids experience the presence of Christ through food, stories, games, music, science projects and lots of fun. It is an unforgettable week, and for many kids it is the first time they fall in love with Jesus and with the church.

My hope is that this year's VBS will be bigger and better than ever. But we need your help to make sure that all the kids of our community get to catch the wave of God's love. Here's how you can help:

1) REGISTER AND INVITE, INVITE, INVITE

VBS is one of the easiest ways to invite a family to church because it is five nights of dinner and amazing children's programming all for FREE. You can register your family online here. Then go ahead and invite your friends, neighbors, co-workers and family members! You can hand out flyers that are available at church and spread the word on Facebook and social media. Don't miss this awesome opportunity to share the love with our community!

2) VOLUNTEER

If you haven't already signed up to volunteer, find a way to get involved. Whether you can help all week or for just an hour, there are lots of opportunities to lend a helping hand. You can sign-up in the fellowship hall to donate food or help in the kitchen. You can join us on Saturday, July 9th for decorating day. You can help in one of the activity areas, assist with your favorite age-group, or help with clean-up each night. You can also sign-up to help with the celebration lunch on Sunday, July 17th. To get involved or learn more just e-mail Robbin at pcumcfamilyministry@gmail.com.

With your help, we are going to share the love of Christ and make Surf Shack the best VBS yet! Thank you for being a part of this amazing ministry.

Blessings,

Pastor Katie
